For those of you in the St. Cloud area, Chris is putting on her On the Move 5K on Thursday, May 2nd at St. Cloud State University Atwood Center Mall. (directions). The run starts at 6:00 p.m. and will take place along the Mississippi River, utilizing the Beaver Island Trails. Awards for the 5k will be presented to the first three male and female finishers in each age group.
The next race in the series is the Minnewaska Warmup Half Marathon in Glenwood on May 4. This event also includes a 10K and 5K run. Each year the event offers a ton of prize money for a variety of winners including random drawings.
Last year most of the races in the series filled up well before the registration deadline and this year a couple of the races have already filled, so register early.
The first event in the series will be the Chain of Lakes Triathlon in Alexandria on May 4. Held at the Discovery Middle School, this race is the kickoff event to the Minnesota triathlon season. The eight lane pool will give you a comfortable early season test for your swim with the rest of the course being on some nice roads and trails. Registration will close early next week. No registrations will be taken once it closes. Don't miss it!
Enjoy the spring, and we will see you at the races!
There are some early bird deadlines coming up very quickly. If you were thinking of registering for these events, now is a good time to both guarantee a spot and save yourself some money.
